Where to go?

In a place that got me a peaceful mind
Half way to enjoying peace
Now it’s time to leave
May I find a place for me, please

They lined me up with Skilled Nursing
I was oh so very happy
They have found a place
Where I wouldn’t feel ...crappy

I’m happy until I hear the news
My insurance will not cover it
What am I going to do?
This news hurt quite a bit

My last resort was an expensive one
I could do go to Assisted Living
I know nothing about them
I hope it’s my answer,” God Willing.”

They gave my 4 phone numbers
I dial the very first one
A nice lady answered
She asked,” how can I help you hun?”

I need a place to stay
Do you have a room for me?
She replied,” we sure do.”
It’s even furnished as you will see

Well I took her offer
Not knowing what exactly to expect
As I visited She greeted me
I felt a very calming effect

As I look back
The Lord answered my prayer
I have realized how he loves me
Guiding me and helping with my despair

I have found peace
I look forward to each day
The staff really cares about me
They totally love me, not just halfway

SunRidge has been a blessing to me
The Lord answered my prayer
He lead me to this place
My testimony has grown and this I share

Today was a sacred day for our family. ❤️

I brought my sweet mother-in-law to Sunridge Assisted Living. While I may serve here as the Executive Director, today I simply showed up as a daughter.

There’s something incredibly humbling about walking through these doors on the ...other side — not as a leader, but as family. It gave me an even deeper appreciation for what families feel when they entrust us with someone they love so dearly.

When a family says “thank you” to the staff who care for their loved one, please know — they mean it from the bottom of their hearts. It’s not just politeness. It’s gratitude born from vulnerability, trust, and hope.

To my incredible team: thank you for loving my Joy as your own. Thank you for your compassion, your patience, your gentleness, and the way you show up every single day. You don’t just provide care — you create comfort, dignity, and belonging.

Today, I am grateful beyond words — as a leader, and even more so as family. 💛
